1) Do your cartridges come with a computer chip installed?
Yes, if the Printer Manufacturer requires the cartridge to have a computer chip installed for the cartridge to function with the printer, we will only sell cartridges with a chip already installed.

2) What is the difference in a Fully Remanufactured, Compatible/Generic, Partially Remanufactured, and a Re-filled cartridge?
A Fully Remanufactured: Our High-Quality Fully Remanufactured cartridge uses the original brand name cartridge body and computer chip and all parts are replaced. This is very close to the quality of a new OEM cartridge.
A Compatible/Generic: Our High-Quality Compatible/Generic cartridge is a completely new non OEM cartridge compatible to the printers it fits. This is also very close to the quality of a new OEM cartridge except for the more expensive 'inkjet' cartridges like HP, Dell, and Lexmark (see details below).
A Partially Remanufactured: A Partially Remanufactured cartridge only has a part replaced that is required to make the cartridge perform and then refilled. A little cheaper price but not worth the hit and miss quality.
A Re-filled cartridge: A re-filled only cartridge is nothing more than re-filled with ink or toner and when a company does this, they are typically using the cheapest ink or toner they can buy. This type of cartridge will have poor printing performance and fail much quicker than a high-quality fully remanufactured or high-quality compatible cartridge. Many companies on the internet do this which is how they are able to offer cartridges for cheap prices.

WE ONLY SELL THE HIGHEST-QUALITY FULLY REMANUFACTURED AND/OR COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGES AVAILABLE, this is how we are able to provide name brand performance. We DO NOT refill or partially re-manufacture cartridges. We will NOT sacrifice quality to make an extra buck because the little bit of extra savings is not worth the hassle of hit and miss quality.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: we also do NOT use compatible 'inkjet' cartridges for the more expensive brands like HP, Dell, and Lexmark. These 'inkjet' compatibles have hit & miss quality and we don't feel they are worth the little bit of extra savings. We will only re-manufacture the original OEM name brand cartridge which is how we have such good results.

For example, a new high-capacity OEM name brand HP, Dell, or Lexmark cartridge could be $36 ea and our remanufactured OEM cartridge is $19 ea both with excellent quality, and the compatible is $12 ea with hit & miss quality.

Keep in mind, your most SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS possible WITHOUT sacrificing quality and performance is buying our cartridges versus the OEM name brand cartridges. We caution you to shop for the lowest cost cartridge you can buy on the web, the little bit of extra savings may not be worth the hassle of inferior products. Our products work as well as the name brand in 99% of the printer population.

3) How much is shipping?
U.S. (All 50 States) and Puerto Rico Shipping:
$40.00 or more ships free
$39.99 & under is $5.95

Canada Shipping:

4) I am hesitant to give my email address when I place my order.
We respect your privacy; we never sell, share, or rent an email address.
When your order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation email (unless you have a filter set up to only receive from known senders), our email address for orders is "orderconfirmation@inkjetsrus.net".
We email information on new products and specials approximately 2 - 3 times per month, these emails will come from the email address: customerservice.inkjetsrus.net@gmail.com
You can unsubscribe from receiving our emails at any time within an ad.

5) Are the cartridges the Printer Manufacturers brand name?
No, we only sell fully remanufactured or compatible generic products which are 100% guaranteed to perform as well as the name brand. We do NOT partially remanufacture cartridges or fill only.

6) If I use a generic product in my printer, will this void my warranty?
NO, and we recommend to search the web for the 'Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act' for more information to confirm this.
As a consumer, you have every right to use a remanufactured or compatible generic product in a printer, a car, or any other type of product. Inkjet printers typically last between 1-6 years depending on their use and maintenance routine.
Many high-quality printers now cost approximately $100.00, the cost to replace an inkjet printer is not much more than a set of name brand cartridges these days. You decide what is best for you.

7) I have never purchased online, is online ordering as secure as ordering by phone?
There is a HUGE MISCONCEPTION between online orders and phone orders. There are only two components to the order process: 1) the transmission of information to place an order. 2) the storage of information after an order is placed.

1) No one can see the information you type on your computer, providing no one is standing over your shoulder seeing the information. Once an online order is sent, it is impossible to dissect the information when an order is completed online because the information is transferred electronically and unreadable until it gets to its destination which is where it is stored. However phone orders require you to give your information to a stranger, whether it is a waiter or telephone operator, they are able to write your information down and sell it or use it later.

2) The problems you hear on the news are due to 'storage' issues and hackers unlocking this information. NO MATTER whether an order is completed online or over the phone for any transaction, ALL the information is stored in the exact same location by each company. The advantage to dealing with a small business like ours is, hackers look to make a big splash by unlocking the codes to large companies and making the news. They do not waste their time on small company's like ours.

We use the latest security technology and our website uses an SSL (Secured Socket Layer) connection which is the most secure link available. When you go to our shopping cart, the SSL has locked this session to your computer to eliminate anyone seeing (or hearing) your information.

Since our company is PCI Compliant, we do not store billing information in house and this information is only accessible to a few authorized individuals via a very secure online system. All information is stored away from our facility on secure servers at our hosting company in Springfield, Missouri.

ONLINE ORDERING TIPS:
1) The most secure way to order online is by using a 'pre-paid' type of card (ask your local store which pre-paid cards do NOT have a monthly fee). Your personal information is not linked to this type of card and the only funds that are available is the amount you prepay.
2) The 2nd most secure way of ordering online is by using a 'credit' card. This type of card is not linked to your bank account and any potential unauthorized charges will be removed by the card issuer within their specified time frame which is always much longer than a debit card.
3) We do NOT recommend using a standard 'debit' card for any transaction except for swiping it in a terminal, again based on the electronic transmission of information is not dissect-able. When you have to provide your billing information to another party or the card has to leave your hands, this type of card is linked to your bank account and funds would be removed directly from your account. You can recover these funds but only if you dispute the charges within 2-4 days of the charges, see the exact time frame specified by your card issuer.
You can also order by mail by printing our order form from the Order by Mail tab.

You will never have to worry about unauthorized transactions within our group of authorized individuals. Our team uses a 'golden rule' philosophy and our common core values are: Respect, Integrity, and Honor. We treat our customers as we want to be treated!

8) My printer is not recognizing (accepting) the cartridge/s you sent me, why is it doing this?
Please see our "Technical Support" tab in the blue navigation bar at the top of our website home page for detailed, easy to follow instructions. Please spend five minutes reading our instructions, specifically for this issue the "Cartridge Recognition Problem" section to understand the condition & remedies.

You will read the vast majority of these problems are NOT with the cartridge you changed, one or more of the other cartridges in the machine are too low on ink to allow the printer to continue. Unfortunately, all printer brands and models are built this way.

If you can't get the cartridge/s to work using our trouble-shooting tips, please email us immediately at customerservice.inkjetsrus.net@gmail.com with your contact information.

9) Do cartridges have an expiration date?
Yes, all legitimate brands of cartridges will have an expiration date which will be printed or indented on the box (typically the bottom). If the cartridges are stored as we recommend which is upright like they sit in the printer and in an indoor environment away from temperature extremes, the cartridges will typically last up to one year beyond the expiration date.

Most expiration dates will be one to two years from the date you receive your order. We also recommend to shake ink cartridges before installation, especially if they have been stored for an extended period of time.

10) What is the difference in a standard-capacity, high-capacity, and high-yield cartridge?
High-capacity is the term typically used for ink cartridges and high-yield is the term typically used for laser toner cartridges. High-capacity refers to a cartridge having more ink in the cartridge and high-yield is really the end result of having more ink or toner in a cartridge which produces (yields) more printed pages.

As a general rule of thumb, high-capacity ink cartridges will print at least twice the number of printed pages versus a standard cartridge. We will provide the approximate number of printed pages for our laser toner cartridges. The page yield for high-yield toner cartridges versus standard will vary from 50% more printed pages up to 300% more pages.

As an example: if our standard ink cartridge costs $15.00 and the high-capacity cartridge cost $19.00, you would have to spend $30.00 for two standard cartridges to print the same number of pages the high-capacity would print for $19.00.
Be aware, if we have a high-capacity or high-yield cartridge listed for your printer, the printer is made to accept this cartridge even if the cartridge is physically larger than the standard capacity cartridge.

See question 14 for new printer information to save you money; email us for current printer model/cartridge recommendations.

11) My printer has the option of a photo color and/or a standard color cartridge, what is the difference?
The basic difference is photo color will print slightly more colorful and longer lasting photos due to the ink quality. The standard color cartridge will yield more printed pages which is a better value if you are not printing photos.

Depending on the brand and model of the printer, some photo color cartridges actually replace the black cartridge and supplement the standard color cartridge for photo printing. If you are not sure which one to order, we recommend to look in your printers owners manual or go to the manufacturers website to download an owners manual for more information.

12) Why does my clear plastic inkjet cartridge not look full of ink?
Most inkjet cartridges are made very similar with two areas within the cartridge; an ink and sponge compartment.
The "ink" area is approx. 1/4 - 1/3 of the cartridge (typically the back section), this is where the cartridge is filled with the specified volume in "ml" of ink which is equal to the OEM-name brand specification. The "sponge" area which regulates the flow of ink to the ink nozzle/s as the printer pulls ink from the cartridge is fed by the ink compartment.

During packing, shipping, and shaking, the ink will spill into the sponge compartment. This will happen until the sponge is saturated. The ink within the sponge will be used as the printer pulls ink from the cartridge through the ink nozzle/s. All the ink that was purchased is within the cartridge, however it will be distributed between these two areas of the cartridge.

13) My printer is not listed on your website but you have the cartridge models I need listed, will they work in my printer model?
The answer to this question depends on the printer brand. If you have a Brother, Canon, Dell, Kodak, or Lexmark printer the answer is YES.

If you have an HP, Okidata, or Samsung printer, 95% of these printer brands will work with a previous cartridge version of the same model and we will specify on our website there may be two cartridge versions and to include your printer model number in the order comment box and/or email us your printer model number including the printer series (IE. HP Deskjet, Officejet, Photosmart, etc.) and any potential letters before the model number and/or description after the model like: e-All-in-One, Plus Series, Premium Series, etc.

If you have an Epson printer the answer is possibly MAYBE or NO. Unfortunately, Epson is the only printer brand that pro-actively is doing everything they can to keep you from saving money on any cartridge but their name brand. Even though a new Epson printer series may take the same cartridge model as an earlier series, they are the only printer company changing their computer chip in their printers between production runs.

Because of this action, we will NOT warranty cartridges for an Epson printer that is not listed on our website because our cartridge computer chip has not been tested for this new printer generation.

Please email us for additional information with your printer model number.

14) I need a new printer, what printer brand and model would you recommend to purchase?
Our criteria for printer recommendations are based on quality, performance, reliability, and the lowest cost to operate. If you are looking for a 'LASER' printer, we recommend the Brother brand followed by Canon and HP. Feel free to email us for more details on laser printers.

For an 'INKJET' printer, Canon and Brother printers with 'individual' color cartridges (NOT a 'tri-color' cartridge system) offer a significant amount more ink for less money than other brands.

Although this information is based on quality and performance it also focuses on the lowest cost cartridge system to operate. Our analogy: if automobiles used their own brand of gasoline and the gas varied greatly in cost per gallon by brand between $2.00 - $10.00 per gallon, this would probably affect the vehicle you purchase. This is EXACTLY the case when it comes to printers and the ink cost by brand because the cost difference is SIGNIFICANT.

If you want to save money on printing costs, we do NOT recommend purchasing a new model Epson, HP, Dell, or Lexmark printer due to a 'high cost to operate'. We also recommend AVOIDING 'tri-color' cartridge printers with the cyan, magenta, and yellow in one cartridge, these types of printers are very expensive to operate. Besides the black cartridge in the 'tri-color' system being much more expensive than the black cartridge in an individual color cartridge printer, when one of the colors gets too low for the printer to function and the entire cartridge must be changed, the other colors with ink left are wasted.

For 'low to medium' volume printing, we feel Canon provides the best overall performance, reliability, and a low cost to operate for $4.94 or less per cartridge*. *VERY IMPORTANT, this pertains to the Canon printers that use 'individual' color cartridges NOT the 'tri-color' cartridge models.

For 'high-volume' printing, the new Brother LC79 cartridge model & printer combinations provide an excellent value for $5.94 or less per cartridge. The four Brother printers that use the LC79 high-volume cartridge will also accept the LC75 model low to medium volume cartridge series.

Breakdown:
- For "low to medium volume" printing: many of the Canon printers are less money upfront and the best value using the PGI-225 High-Capacity black/CLI-226 'individual' color cartridge combination. "I" in the cartridge model means "individual", PG"I"/CL"I".

- For "high-quality photos": the Canon photo printers that use the PGI-225/CLI-226 combination with the extra gray color CLI-226 cartridge provide the best photo quality.

- For the lowest cost "super high-volume" printing: even though the printer costs for the Brother printers with the LC79 cartridges are more expensive upfront, they provide a huge savings on printing costs over the lifetime of the printer especially on black & white printing.

Please email us for more details and current printer model recommendations.

15) How long will my cartridges last? Page yield explained.
Unfortunately, 'time' of cartridge use is NOT a valid measurement, most users are not printing identical things all the time or the same amount of pages at any given time. We provide the approximate page yields for laser toner cartridges on our website, the following information applies to 'inkjet' cartridges only.

Your printer brand and your cartridge models & choices (standard-capacity versus high-capacity) will drastically affect your page yield, unfortunately many of the brands and their cartridges do not offer a good value for medium to high volume printing (See our FAQ 14 for lower cost options).
Some current inkjet printers black cartridges have as little as 7 ml of ink (feel free to email us for your printer model/cartridge volumes). 'On average' each ml of ink will print 10 - 20 pages of black & white text without excessive bold text and solid objects (see primary variables below).

Example 1: you print 5 to 10 articles per week, the articles or text range between 1 to 5 pages with varying amounts of text, bold text, and solid objects (logos, etc.). Any given week may have more one page articles versus five page articles which will drastically affect the time the cartridge will print.

Example 2: If you have an HP printer and you are using a standard-capacity black cartridge with 9 ml of ink, you are printing the average of 15 pages per ml of ink (9 x 15 = 135 pages), your printer will print 3 pages per minute (3 x 60 min = 180 pages per hour), you can exhaust a brand new cartridge in 45 minutes of continuous printing (135 pages / 3 = 45 minutes)

Page yield equals the number of pages a cartridge will print based on a 5% coverage of text in black & white or color. Meaning the text or objects printed are no more than 5% coverage of the actual page they are printed on. This sounds like a small amount but if you look at an average page of black & white text, there is much more white space without text. This percentage will vary depending on what you print but page yield test results are based on 5% of identical subject matter.

This method can have variables like: borders, differing page margins, etc. However, to determine consistent page yield you must be printing the identical: colors, number of characters, amount of bold text, and the amount of solid objects, etc.

The most relevant factors that affect page yield are as follows:
- Numbers of characters printed
- Amount of bold text and solid objects
- The quality setting of the printer (high, standard, and draft or fast depending on the brand)

Secondary factors that affect yield are as follows:
- Choice of font
- Quality of paper

Because of the many variables affecting page yield, the name brand cartridges at a premium price will not guarantee page yield, obviously at our price we do not either. All our cartridges are filled to OEM name brand specifications and every batch is identical based on our high-standards.

We can provide tips on significantly saving ink and/or toner. Our tips will not only reduce your black usage but drastically reduce your color usage. Simply email us a request for this information.
